Water For Elephants

I finished reading Water For Elephants, and I loved reading every bit of it. It left me with a hollow nostalgia since I have never been to the circus. But I got the nostalgic feeling anyway because the book was just that good. I found myself daydreaming about the circus and Elephants and sparkly dresses out of nowhere. The writing style is fairly easy to adapt to. (I sometimes find it challenging to adapt to new writing which leads me to re-read the first few pages a few times.)

I felt like I've lived the circus, and I could smell the popcorn, the mixing stench of animals and rotting meat, the train's tangy metal, and the sweet smell of food from the cookhouse. The book was brilliant. And I loved the ending.

"Its like Charlie told the cop. For this old man this is home."

If you've been contemplating on buying this book, I'd say buy it and emerge into a world of redlighting, foreign elephants, and schitzophrenic fun.

This one's one of da books.

(inside joke.)

Heh.

Night Market

We went to a Night Market (Tiangge) the other day with a couple of friends to support Mama Anna (family friend), who recently just opened a stall. We bought a couple of stuff, and just hanged with them for a bit. She's selling a whole lot of knick knacks, necklaces and the sort.

I was pretty sad that they didn't have rings for me to buy! But they said that they'd sell some soon, so i'm definitely coming back.

They also sell watches! :)

Ptr. Kumar

Trish

:)

It was suuuch a nice night out I love how the place had lights dangling from the trees. The place is at BF homes btw.

They also sell cardigans and nice tops.

Oh and OEM Dr. Dre Beats.

It was nice to go out during the night since we don't really do that anymore. The cool breeze just made it all the more perfect, and the bangin' music playing right infront of the stall. Haha.

P.S. I went to the dentist yesterday. Lol my sister took a photo of me and i'll post it on here for laughs. Hoho! Have a nice day :) I plan to.

Most recent picture of me

... I am what I eat?

Haha! Well i've been chomping on chocolates since my parents came home from Hong Kong. My bloodstream is probably clouded with cocoa. And I don't regret every single bite... I need to visit the dentist soon though :| *scary music.*

Someone gave my Mum this box of chocolates. Its one of those I-dont-know-what-flavor-this-is-so-i'll-bite-every-single-one-of-them types.

Unlike every other mainstream famous chocolates that lasts a week tops in my family, this box will probably last about 2-3 weeks (HALF BITTEN) depending on the flavors. Once we've verified which particular taste we like best, we munch on those continuously until they disappear. The ones we don't like, lasts longer but will eventually be devoured out of boredom. True story.

In other news, my friend Christian got a perm! Wuhahaha. I think its nice.

Before & After

He really looks like Kevin now.

Kevin (he has curlier hair now but this is the only photo I could find at the moment! haha)

Drumroll pleaseeeeeee

And then there's me.

Lol my roots are growing out and yes, my ears are huge. :| That is why I hide them most of the time. LOL
I actually look decent somehow. Haha.

Happy Monday everyone! :D

By Your Side - Tenth Avenue North (Cover)

My friend Pao and I really wanted to do a cover of this song. The song is so beautiful and amazing and it's sung in God's perspective. I was in tearing up when I heard this song. The lyrics really touched me, and I hope it touches you too.

AND LOL FOR WHEN MY VOICE IS ALONE OR LOUD: My voice is very simple, no vibrato or anything. Its very full and strong so it's great for blending and 2nd voice. But alone, idk. So I'm not very proud of the solo ones. HAHA =))

But, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. :)

God’s Perspective

This was a script-outline of mine for my School Of Leaders 5 Min Sermon. I arranged this one to look like a blog post because my outline was really messy. Lol. But this is basically what I said, and I just wanted to share it with you guys, and cuz my friend wanted me to post it. Haha!

The editor of the Newsletter of our church is a good friend of mine, and I let her read it just for fun. She liked it so much, she included this in the Church's Newsletter. I'm so happy! :) Without further ado; God's Perspective.

As a photographer, I study perspective. So I can see a different, more interesting view of a simple subject. With one subject, there can be thousands of perspectives. Whether it’s macro, (zoomed in) landscape, (zoomed out) or Portrait. Every single style brings out a different perspective. Then there’s also the Photoshop perspective, where you take a shot with a certain editing type in mind, even though the shot looks totally different from what you had in mind,  it’ll definitely change when you edit it.

Now, I believe that Born again Christians should be able to accomplish, or understand God’s Perspective. I think perspective is one of the few hindrances that people have between understanding what God wants for them, and their logic thought. First of all, God is too big, and too amazing for logic to understand. Logic is as far as what the human brain can understand. So it’s dealing with only the Body part of you. You can and only will accept and understand God with your faith. So to get God’s perspective, throw out your human logic, and Renew your mind with the Word of God, and have faith.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.“  Romans 12:2

I really have a burning passion for explaining to people what God’s perspective is. God wants you to have everything good. God wants you to be blessed and live an ultimate life. But it will be superbly hard to have that if you can’t see yourself having that. You gotta know who you are in Christ. And claim what you deserve.

I enjoy books thoroughly. I am such a bookworm. I like a certain type of book genre. I like action/romance… and something with a dash of fantasy. I find it really interesting, and I think that it opens doors to more twists and turns and whatnots. Whether it be a guy turning into a wolf, or someone falling in love with a handsome stranger who turns out to be a fairy king, it makes things interesting. Same goes for movies. Captain America, Transformers, etc. There is always a certain twist that makes the movie interesting.

Now I’m going to try and let you understand a revelation that I got from God, and to try to give you a new perspective in life. I always ask myself, “When will my man-wolf come? When will my car transform into an alien robot? When will my life get interesting?” And it hit me: I was being so ignorant. Since I was homeschooled, and brought up in a really good family, I was somewhat naïve. But when I grew up and found out about certain lives of people, I was shocked and in awe about how amazing my life is. And I thought. It’s God. God is my twist. God is the one that will open more doors to my story. God is my transformer. Only better. He’s real.

So I say, stop trying to wait for something to happen. It already happened. You just have to claim it. Accept it. Own it. See God’s perspective and see you are a Child of God, and open more doors for your story to become one of the most epic lives on this planet. Don’t waste it. Use what God gave you to bring Him glory.

Its like, God sees 3D, and He looks at you, and sees Spirit, Soul, and Body. But you also have to put on your 3D glasses, to experience life to its full extent. Don’t limit yourself to 2D (Body and Soul) because as they say, in 2D, you’re watching it, in 3D, you’re in it.

October 18

(from left to right: My iPhone, My dad's HTC and his iPhone)

1.4 really makes everything look pretty, doesn't it? *__*

My dad thought Banana Leaf was super amaze that he took his staff to eat there! I tagged along. Haha.

This is the best Milk Tea i've tasted. The tea was so strong, and a bit bitter, almost like coffee. Which is why I loved it! (oh ayan na may gusto na akong tea!! happy girls? haha! my friends have been forcing me to drink tea for a long time now.)

I forgot to mention that you actually have to eat on a Banana Leaf  literally. Ain't that super? :>

This Chicken Curry is Amazeballs.

Fish sticks with special sauce. YUM-O!

Sizzling Malaysian Chicken Curry

My case is just so photogenic.

We got a bit lost, good thing I was registered to Globe PowerSurf. And we used Maps for the first time!!

It was super cool, that blue dot represents the phone, and it actually follows you! Its amazing what technology can do nowadays. Its just expensive is all. Haha!

Bought these beauts while I was at Greenhills:

I might get rid of that bow. I'm not a bow person. :|

That afternoon, I walked on my way home from SM and I saw my crush's friends. He wasn't there though. I was so bummed! :(

Oh well!
